Iran - Urgent Action lawyer Javid Houtan Kian

LETTER TO BE SENT TO THE BODIES OF INFORMATION

Subject: Iran, lawyer tortured in prison

Dear Editor,
I send this letter to report the case of the lawyer Iranian Javid Houtan Kian.
Mr. Houtan Kian is the lawyer who defended Sakineh Ashtiani, the Iranian woman sentenced to death for adultery. Mr. Houtan Kian was arrested Oct. 10, 2010.
He spent several days in solitary confinement in Evin prison and then transferred to the prison in Tabriz, in the section for drug addicts and AIDS patients. Mr. Houtan Kian was tortured and threatened.
I are very concerned for his illegal detention. Mr. Houtan Kian has been accused of acting against national security and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Mr. Houtan Kianed is a prisoner of conscience.
I request that international information organs back to talk about his case. It is important for the survival of Mr Houtan Kian.
Sincerely,
(your name)
